Tickets!! Anybody! Probably stuck in a queue or something

OK, so it seems a good number of the football hardcore either aren't going or haven't been able to get tickets. Which begs the question - just who has bought these 30,000-odd tickets? Dear God, please don't let this be an Old Trafford affair (tour parties eating icecreams in the stand during crucial Champions League matches) or another David Beckham fiasco.

  1. AT least 5 of those are me and my Auckland mates. Don't worry, 4 of us are football mad and will be leading the singing in section 27. If the hardcore didn't get tickets tough shit. It's not as if it sold out in 5 minutes like any decent rock concert, so you have to question their commitment - no ticket = not hardcore, just puffs.

  2. Thanks for your comment. Perhaps it wasn't the best explanation on my part. By "hardcore" I meant those fans who have over the past couple of decades kept NZ Football afloat by turning up to watch poorly publicised and overpriced All Whites games played at ridiculous times and in non-football friendly stadiums against less than glamorous Oceania nations. So I don't question their commitment - but I am a little concerned that they won't be attending - and a tad sad not to sharing this occasion with them. Anyway, it looks like there's going to be quite a few of us Aucklanders in the capital - "If you're proud to be a JAFA clap your hands". Give us a yell if you see me down there Jeef.
